I accept select insurance plans in-network for New Jersey patients. I am out-of-network for both New Jersey and Pennsylvania with other plans.

You can contact me by phone, text, or email using the information provided at the bottom of this page.

If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours, I will charge them the full fee.

When working with children 17 years old or younger, I typically prefer family therapy. For individuals 18 and above, I’m open to working with individuals, couples, or families.

No and yes. Often, I find that when homework is assigned, it creates an opportunity for the homework not to be completed. Then the client frequently feels bad, and I might also feel bad. So, if I assign homework, it’s often something simple that you’re likely to do.

My focus in therapy is on the connection between the client and the therapist.

The more the client feels seen and heard, the more they feel accepted and the easier it is for them to grow. I utilize several modalities as tools to accomplish this goal, including Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Human-Centered Therapy, and, at times, Cognitive Restructuring.

I find that every client who comes in is unique.

What helps one person get the most out of therapy might be totally different or even the opposite of what works for someone else, even if they’re dealing with a similar issue.

The one thing I always encourage is to stay connected to your feelings during sessions and to share them with me. I know that’s not always easy, and that’s okay – everyone shows up in their own way and in their own time.

You might feel sad, anxious, bored, or even angry – maybe even angry at me – and not want to say it out loud. That’s totally understandable.

A lot of people worry about making their therapist uncomfortable or saying the “wrong” thing because that can occur. However, expressing those feelings, especially the tough or personal ones, can be one of the most healing parts of therapy. If you feel ready to share, please know that you’re encouraged to do so. That’s what I’m here for – it’s my job to hold space for all of it.

No, I’m not just cracking jokes. People find relief in different ways.

When a client feels understood, stress is released. Such relief can occur through tears, sighs, or even laughter.

It depends. Change can occur in an instant or be a gradual process. I have had clients who received what they needed after a few weeks, and others stay for a year or more, depending on what they need.

I wouldn’t be in this field of work if I didn’t believe in it. However, I will say that not every person should be a therapist, not every modality works for every person, and sometimes therapy is not the answer for specific cases.

Despite all of that, I feel very privileged to serve in this role, and thank G-d, I have seen positive changes in many of my clients.

That’s totally fine! Some of the best sessions start with I dont know what to say. We’ll figure it out together and probably end up somewhere surprisingly deep.

You feel like therapists repeat back to you what you say.

I’d like to know why not and what’s bringing them to my website. I have specialized training in working with resistant clients and have found success with clients and their goals, even when they barely spoke to me.

Usually, however, they are accompanied by a family member or a close friend who wants them to undergo therapy.
